Why Estonian Travellers Love Visiting Saudi Arabia
From a shared love of digital-first living to the tombs of AlUla and the Red Sea, here is why more Estonian travellers are choosing the Kingdom.
✈️ One Stop from Tallinn
Tallinn connects to Riyadh and Jeddah in a single stop via Istanbul or a Gulf hub such as Doha or Dubai, so a Saudi trip is easy to plan from Estonia.
💻 Two Digital Nations
Estonia pioneered e-government, and Saudi Arabia is digitising fast under Vision 2030, from the eVisa itself to smart-city projects you can visit.
🏜️ AlUla and the Red Sea
Swap the Baltic winter for the sandstone tombs of Hegra in AlUla, then warm up on the untouched reefs of the Red Sea coast.

Frequently Asked Questions
Saudi Visa FAQ for Estonian Citizens
Common questions from Estonian applicants
Yes. Estonian passport holders need a visa, but the whole process is online with no embassy visit. Pick single entry, valid 90 days, or multiple entry, valid a full year, and your approved eVisa lands in your inbox as a printable PDF.
There is no scheduled nonstop today, but Tallinn connects to Riyadh and Jeddah in a single stop via Istanbul or a Gulf hub such as Doha or Dubai. Total journeys run around eight to ten hours.
Absolutely, provided you avoid the Hajj dates. The eVisa covers your entry and the Umrah permit is free to reserve in Nusuk. Makkah closes to tourist-visa holders only during Hajj.
The fee is charged in US dollars, but your euro Visa or Mastercard is accepted and billed at your bank's exchange rate. Apple Pay and Google Pay work too, so you can apply from anywhere in Estonia.
Saudi Arabia is the same time as Estonia in summer and 1 hour ahead in winter, since Saudi Arabia keeps the same time all year. Jet lag is essentially none.
Estonia built one of the world's most advanced digital societies, and Saudi Arabia is digitising rapidly under Vision 2030, from paperless government to smart cities. Estonian visitors often recognise a shared digital-first mindset.
English is widely spoken in tourist areas and major hotels, and guides can be arranged in AlUla and larger cities. Our own application support is provided in English.
November to March offers mild, sunny weather across Riyadh, Jeddah and AlUla, a bright escape from the Baltic winter, and overlaps with Riyadh Season. Summers inland are extremely hot.
Everyday crime is low, and women travel and stay in hotels independently, with no male guardian required for tourists. Check the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs travel advice for the current advisory before you book.
Not at all. Saudi Arabia's stated policy places no weight on earlier destinations, so an Israeli entry stamp in your passport is not a declared impediment for Estonian citizens.
With single entry you get one trip of up to 90 days inside a 90-day window. Multiple entry stretches to a year and lets you come and go, up to 90 days per stay.
Bring a Estonian passport that stays valid six months past arrival, a fresh photo against a white backdrop, and proof of where you are staying (we can arrange it for $5). Funds evidence, invitations and return tickets are not requested.
A single-entry visa starts at $209 and a multiple-entry Express tops out at $279, quoted in dollars with all government fees included and no hidden charges to follow.
For last-minute travel, Express (about six hours) or Priority (24 hours) get you sorted fast. Standard, up to 72 hours, is best when you are not rushed.
A visa per person applies to minors too, even infants on a parent's passport. Parents complete the forms and can send the whole family's at the same time.
The eVisa works at all Saudi entry points, from the airports of Riyadh (RUH), Jeddah (JED), Dammam (DMM) and Madinah (MED) to approved land and sea crossings.
The required health insurance comes with the eVisa and covers in-country medical emergencies. Anything beyond that, such as cancellation or baggage loss, needs a separate travel plan.
Not the government website. We are Travel Rox, Inc., independent of Saudi authorities, and you may apply on the official portal at a lower price. Our fee funds expert review, tracking and real support.
