Why Slovak Travellers Love Visiting Saudi Arabia

From alpine peaks to endless dunes, here is why more Slovak travellers are choosing the Kingdom.

✈️ One Stop from Bratislava

Bratislava connects to Riyadh and Jeddah in a single stop via nearby Vienna, Istanbul or a Gulf hub, so a Saudi trip is easy to arrange from Slovakia.

⛰️ Mountains to Desert

If you love the High Tatras, the sandstone canyons of AlUla offer a completely different but equally dramatic landscape to explore.

🏜️ AlUla and the Red Sea

Trade alpine trails for the tombs of Hegra in AlUla, then unwind on the untouched reefs of the Red Sea coast.

Booked our family's trip including Umrah. The team explained the Nusuk permit clearly and every visa arrived together. Very reassuring.

Fair price for a trip to AlUla and the Red Sea. Standard was a little slower than expected, but they kept me updated and there were no issues.

Frequently Asked Questions

Saudi Visa FAQ for Slovak Citizens

Common questions from Slovak applicants

A visa is needed, but not an embassy appointment. As a Slovak passport holder you fill in a short online form, select single or multiple entry, and the eVisa is emailed to you once approved.

There is no scheduled nonstop today, but Bratislava connects to Riyadh and Jeddah in a single stop via nearby Vienna, Istanbul or a Gulf hub such as Doha or Dubai. Total journeys run around eight to ten hours.

Yes. The tourist eVisa lets Slovak pilgrims perform Umrah outside Hajj, with the permit issued free through the Nusuk platform. Makkah is closed to tourist visitors solely in the Hajj period.

The fee is charged in US dollars, but your euro Visa or Mastercard is accepted and billed at your bank's exchange rate. Apple Pay and Google Pay work too, so you can apply from anywhere in Slovakia.

Saudi Arabia is 1 hour ahead of Slovakia in summer and 2 hours ahead in winter, since Saudi Arabia keeps the same time all year. Jet lag is minimal.

Slovakia's love of dramatic mountain scenery finds an unexpected match in the sandstone canyons and desert landscapes of AlUla. Slovak hikers and nature lovers tend to be captivated by the terrain.

English is widely spoken in tourist areas and major hotels, and guides can be arranged in AlUla and larger cities. Our own application support is provided in English.

November to March offers mild, sunny weather across Riyadh, Jeddah and AlUla, a welcome escape from the Central European winter, and overlaps with Riyadh Season. Summers inland are extremely hot.

Everyday crime is low, and women travel and stay in hotels independently, with no male guardian required for tourists. Check the Slovak Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs travel advice before you book.

It will not. The Kingdom states there is no bar based on prior travel history, so a previous visit to Israel does not, by the stated rules, block your Slovak eVisa.

The single-entry option runs for 90 days and allows a stay of up to 90 days. The multiple-entry option is valid twelve months, with each individual visit capped at 90 days.

All you need is a valid Slovak passport (at least six months), a recent photo on white, and a hotel reservation, which costs $5 to add at checkout. Bank records, invitations and return tickets are not part of it.

From $209 for single entry on Standard up to $279 for multiple entry on Express, all in USD and fully inclusive of government fees. There are no surprise surcharges.

Travelling soon? Choose Express for roughly a six-hour turnaround or Priority for one day. Standard, within three days, is the cheapest when you have time.

Yes. Each traveller, infants and children included, needs their own application, even if listed on a parent's passport. Families can file everyone together in one sitting.

Every Saudi entry point accepts the eVisa, whether you fly into Riyadh (RUH), Jeddah (JED), Dammam (DMM) or Madinah (MED), or arrive overland or by sea.

Yes, the compulsory travel health insurance is built into the eVisa for medical emergencies during your stay. For trip interruption or baggage claims, arrange a separate travel policy.

It is not the government site. We are Travel Rox, Inc., an independent service, and the official portal is cheaper if you prefer to do it yourself. Our fee covers a checked, guided application with real support.
